Dr. Shemin Kurji qualified from the Royal Dental School, University of London in 1982 and practiced general dentistry in London, England. Upon emigrating to Alberta, she used to work in Inuvik and Yellowknife as a general dentist. She would also fly into remote communities in the Arctic, providing much sought after dental services to small First Nations communities. She then moved to Nova Scotia and was a partner in a thriving practice in Lower Sackville, just outside Halifax. Dr. Kurji played an active role in the community life in Halifax. Upon moving to Ontario, she has continued to offer general dental services as an Associate at Fairview Mall, while having been an active contributor to community life. She is a proud mother of two grown up sons and her two grand children always bring out the best in her.

Dr. Wes grew up in the town of Stouffville Ontario. He always had a passion for dentistry since he comes from a family of dentists, and as a result he completed his undergraduate studies and his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Toronto.

Upon completing his dentistry studies he began his practice at The Dental Office now renamed to Dentist North York, with a focus on comprehensive dental care and Invisalign treatment.

Dr. Wes has a passion for identifying and realizing the potential of your smile and works with his team at Dentist North York clinic to help you and your family reach goals of straighter, brighter, and healthier smiles.

When not practicing dentistry Dr. Wes enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, or playing drums with his fellow band mates in the rock band Cobalt Crescent. Dr. Wes also has a passion for painting, Scuba diving and experiencing different cultures when travelling.

Is a General Dentist who graduated in 2009. Dr. Shabnam always had a passion to become a Dentist. Dr. Shabnam continues her dental education and keeps up to date attending in numerous seminars and study clubs covering the latest in cosmetics, oral surgery and endodontics.

Dr. Shabnam focuses on comprehensive general dentistry and performs all dental procedures in a gentle fashion to help patients feel comfortable while achieving their healthy smiles, with an emphasis on prevention, aesthetic and surgery. She loves building long-term and trustworthy relationships with her patients.

Dr. Shabnam’s unforgettable moments are the patients’ “WOW” while they check their new smile in the mirror.

Her favorite pastime is photography, playing golf, painting ,travelling, pilates and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Nargaski (Dr. N) is an Assistant Professor and the Graduate Clinic Coordinator (the first woman ever in this role) for the Graduate Orthodontics Department at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry. She will also be the Interim Program Director for the graduate orthodontics clinic this coming year. She loves giving back to her profession by molding the next generation of orthodontists. She is also the immediate past President of the Ontario Association of Orthodontists where she is involved in policy and continued education of all orthodontists in Ontario.

In addition to being an Assistant Professor at U of T, Dr. Nargaski earned both her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors and her specialty in Orthodontics concurrent with a Masters in Science degree from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school, she spent a year as a dental resident at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto where she treated patients with various traumas, generalized medical conditions, and craniofacial anomalies. Her concurrent assignment to the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital allowed her further experience in treating both children & adults with disabilities, anxiety, and other complications.

She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, and the Ontario Association of Orthodontists.

In her time away from the office and the university, Dr. Nargaski enjoys spending time with her baby boy, husband and family road tripping and exploring Toronto and the north east! She is also a HUGE Harry Potter fan and has encyclopedic knowledge of Disney movies; don’t believe us, put her to the test!
